WingTsun instructors Elliot and Wai Leung have both opened a full-time WingTsun school in Stamford Connecticut. Elliot and Wai and the two most senior students of Sifu Alex Richter of City WingTsun NYC. Sifu Carson Lau visited Club Kung Fu recently to congratulate Elliot and Wai on this great achievement. Mike Yahn, who is in charge of City WingTsun’s East Village branch, has gotten his first part in a major Hollywood film. Mike was hired to work as a stunt man opposite Robert Downey Jr. in the final fight scene of the upcoming “Sherlock Holmes” film directed by Guy Ritchie. The action sequences should be quite exciting with Dark Knight fight choreographer Richard Ryan at the helm. Mike Yahn is not only a WingTsun instructor but also a professional stunt man and certified stage combat instructor under the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD). Sherlock Holmes is scheduled for release in December.

May 2009. Along with Sifu Elmond Leung’s school, Studio WingTsun participated in a demonstration in Redwood City for the Sing Tao newspaper’s Mother’s Day Carnival on May 3rd, 2009.  This is the group photograph from the end of the presentation.

April 2009. We had a fantastic seminar with Sifu Lau on April 25th in San Francisco.

March 2009. Sifu Kuo went to Hong Kong on a training trip and took and passed the examination for 3rd TG (March 21, 2009). At this time Sifu Elmond Leung was also promoted to 4th TG by Grandmaster Leung Ting.
